Any user can comment on your request -- they might express reservations (because, for example, they suspect you will abuse your new-found powers, or if you've joined very recently), but hopefully they will approve and say lovely things about you.
If there is general agreement that someone who requests adminship should be given it, then a bureaucrat will make it so and record the fact here.
Kipala (majadiliano) 13:08, 12 Novemba 2016 (UTC)

🚀 Wikamusi Editathon Breaks Records in Dar es Salaam!
[hariri]On August 16, 2025, something extraordinary happened at Seed Space, Dar es Salaam: over 31 passionate contributors gathered for a Wikamusi editathon that would go on to make history.
Led by a shared mission to strengthen African language resources, participants received hands-on training in wiki tools, with a special focus on dictionary content creation. The energy was electric, and the results speak for themselves.
📈 From 15,926 to 23,150 Entries in Just Two Weeks!
At the start of the event, Wikamusi had 15,926 entries. Today—just two weeks later—it boasts 23,150 entries. That’s a staggering 7,224 new entries, contributed in record time by a dedicated team of young editors.
“This is more than editing—it’s preserving our heritage,” said one contributor.
🌟 Spotlight on Contributors
Special recognition goes to user:Bycashtz and Tumaini Ruleju, whose tireless efforts have set a new benchmark for collaborative editing. Their commitment to linguistic excellence and community empowerment is nothing short of inspiring.
🧩 Behind the Scenes
As the event coordinator, I ensured contributors received curated word lists to guide their input. This structure helped streamline efforts and maximize impact. The scale of contributions achieved in such a short time has never been witnessed before in the history of this Wikamusi.
📣 The Work Continues
The momentum is still strong. New contributors are joining, and the spirit of collaboration is thriving. If you’re passionate about African languages, digital knowledge, or community-driven projects—this is your moment.
Let’s keep building. Let’s keep documenting. Let’s keep celebrating our languages. Muddyb (majadiliano) 06:22, 28 Agosti 2025 (UTC)
